Mary MacKillop College Strategic Plan

The MacKillop Girl is at the heart of everything we do.

She is known, nurtured, encouraged and supported to give her best and be her best.

Our Strategic Plan for 2024-2026 will see Mary MacKillop College reach new levels as we continue to ignite the full potential of every MacKillop girl, equip them to inspire with confidence and thrive as capable and compassionate leaders.

Join us as we create a world where our girls define their influence on their own terms and are courageous catalysts for positive change in the present and future.

Our Pillars

We provide contemporary and innovative learning opportunities that prepare our girls for success in a rapidly changing world. We tailor learning environments and programs to cater to each girl’s unique needs at every stage of her educational journey.

Our focus is on nurturing critical and creative thinkers, graduating generations of MacKillop girls who are ready to undertake diverse career pathways.

Continual investment into the growth and development of our dedicated staff is at the forefront of our vision for the College, as they continue to deliver dynamic learning environments for our students.

As a College, we desire to become an increasingly ecologically aware community. We continue to adopt and embrace sustainable practices, undertaking a deep sense of environmental responsibility both in the College and the wider community.

We continue to expand student access to human, virtual and physical resources, ensuring a sustainable and productive learning environment throughout the educational journey. We understand the significance of diverse opportunities and experiences that come from a high-quality resourcing commitment, to enable successful and holistic development of our girls.

Pastoral Care is at the heart of our College and the core of our mission. At MacKillop, every person is known, valued and nurtured, both in and beyond the school gates.

We know that healthy minds lead to healthy lives, so we prioritise the wellbeing and mental health of our students. Programs and initiatives will continue to build confidence, resilience and communication skills in our girls. The promotion of respectful relationships and positive choices are echoed throughout our deep connections with the College community and wider partnerships in our local area.

Our graduates go out into the world as proud MacKillop girls, and the strengthening of our alumnae network will be a continual testament to the dynamic and connected network of women that enrich the life of our College.

We stand on the shoulders of the women who have gone before us and continue to be inspired by the values of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop and her displays of courage, hope, compassion, justice and humility. These values permeate all aspects of College life.

We treasure the ongoing connections between the Sisters of Saint Joseph and our learning community. Together, we invigorate the rich Josephite tradition and empower our Catholic identity.

Active engagement in social justice initiatives and community service enables our girls to connect meaningfully with those in need in our local and global communities.
